In order for your daughter to participate in the 85% state quota seats of Karnataka she needs to have a valid domicile certificate of Karnataka. If she doesn't then she won't be able to get admission in medical colleges through the state's counselling.
The following is the domicile criteria of NEET to apply for Karnataka state government medical seats :-
- The candidates must have studied or passed one or more government recognised institution in the state for a minimum of 7 years period.
- The candidates must have passed their class 10th and 12th from the state recognised institution within the state and that either of the parents should have studied in Karnataka for a minimum period of seven years.
- The mother tongue of applicants must be Kannada, Tulu or Kodava.
- The candidates who do not know the above languages will be required to pass the language test which is conducted by KEA.
