My daughter studied 8 years in karnataka, but finished her 10 th and 12 th in maharashtra is she eligible to take kcet, more over we are kannadigas.

To answer KCET, there are various eligibility codes. If the candidate fulfills either of these codes, he/she shall be eligible to answer KCET.

Also, from the information you have provided us, your daughter is applicable to answer KCET through the following codes:

• Code C: The candidate and either of the parent's mother tongue must be Kannada/Tulu and either of parents should be a domicile of Karnataka. Such a candidate should pass the examination from any board outside Karnataka. The candidate should be residing outside Karnataka as on 1 May 2020. Also, the candidate should undergo a kannada language test.
• Code D: A candidate who has Kannada as mother tongue and should have completed minimum 7 years residing and studying in the state of Karnataka in disputed Kannada speaking area of South Sholapur or Akkalkot or jath or Gandhinglaj taluka of Maharashtra. Also, the candidate should answer Kannada Language Test.

• To fulfil the eligibility criteria of KCET 2019, the candidate should have studied and passed from a recognised institution situated in Karnataka. The academic study from a state institute should be for a minimum period of 7 years, starting from 1st standard to 2nd PUC/12th standard as on July 1 of the exam year.

• Candidates should have appeared/passed either SSLC/10th standard or 2nd PUC/12th standard exam from Karnataka.

• Candidate who had taken more than one year to pass a class/standard, in such cases, the academic study years will be counted as one year only.
