Hello,

If you are allotted a seat in any institute other than first preference then you are eligible to participate in CAP Round 2 to get seat in a higher preference option. If you do not wish to get admission in the institute allotted in CAP Round 1 you do not have to report the ARC to confirm the seat allotted in CAP Round 1. You will loose the seat allotted in CAP Round 1 and you cannot claim the seat allotted in CAP Round 1 even if you do not get seat in CAP Round 2. Candidates who are allotted a seat in any institute other than first preference and reported to the ARC for confirmation of the seat and the candidates who are allotted a seat in any institute other than first preference and not reported to the ARC for confirmation of the seat are eligible to participate in CAP Round 2 as per the Information Brochure on the official website.
