I have completed my 12th from humanities if I want to take admission in ba programme in du . Is there any deduction of marks ?
Hey Yash,
DU Received More then 3 Lakh Applications this year. From Delhi and Mostly neighbouring states . So you could imagine the competition. So as always the Cutoffs are high in the 1st list. Nearly 98-99%. In DU your Best 4 Subject marks is taken so. Eventually it increases your percentage. If it's around 87-88% you might have chances of getting BA and lesser percentage is required if you belong to Reserved Category.
Best Of Luck
The cut off for humanities students is lesser in most of the colleges. It will be easier for you to get admission as the marks required for commerce and science are comparatively higher.
Dear Aspirant,
Deduction of marks is applicable when you are applying for a field of which you have no subject in your 12th. For example, if a science student applies for Economic(H) then he'll face a deduction of the marks. However, if you have all the subjects then the score of your best 4 will be considered.
Hope this helps.

Hi Yash,
i dont think there is any deduction of marks.
if you have all the criterion of the list of DU eligibility norms then you are good to go.
You must check the official website for more information on this matter.
50% aggregate in qualifying marks in the 12th boards is mandated everywhere.
