I have completed my bcom from Guwahati university now m doing mcom from ignou because m doing job.can i apply for phd from other university apart from ignou...and what is the aggregate marks for phd from Guwahati university n what are the criteria or prodecure?

Hi there,

To be eligible for doing your Phd from Gauhati University  you need to have a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks, and for admission in Phd program you need to clear the GU-RET entrance i.e Gauhati University Research Ability Test. The  test is of 3 sections section A will have questions relating to Reasoning & Aptitude, Mental Ability, Computer Awareness & Research Methodology, Section B and C will have have questions in relation to the subject for which you are applying in MCQ form and Descriptive format, for detailed information please access the link attached herein, https://www.gauhati.ac.in/media/notification/1220759054_GURET18_advertisement.pdf
