I have done msc in virology. What should I choose now ugc net or csir net?
Hello Chitra,
The better option for you is CSIR NET exam, according to your educational qualification. As per the CSIR guidelines candidates can appear for the exam with the subject in which they have done their post-graduation or with related to that subject.
As CSIR NET is not conducted in Virology but it is conducted ion Life Sciences. And Virology is related to the Life Sciences so, you can appear for CSIR NET Life Sciences exam.
But make sure you fulfill all the eligibility criteria of the same. To apply, you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters’ degree.
For JRF, you also fulfill age criteria i.e. 28 years. Reserved categories’ aspirants get the relaxation of 5 years. For Assistant Professor, this criteria is not applicable.
