I have got 43.80 out of 80 and my common merit rank is 2962 and category merit rank is 2316,now can i get selection for fashion communication course and what is the differnce between common merit rank and category merit rank.

Common merit rank is the rank secured by the candidates without considering their category. Every candidate regardless of the category he/she will be allotted a rank based on the marks scored by the candidates. Category rank is allotted to the candidates belonging to reserved category such as EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PWD. Candidates belonging to general category will get admission based on their common merit rank and the candidates belonging to reserved category will get admission based on their category rank. You haven't mentioned your category so it is difficult to predict the colleges in which you have chances of getting seat in Fashion Communication.
