Hey.

Admission in Panjab University, Chandigarh for tge course of BA/BCOM LLB is done on the basis of both your result in 12th boards and entrance exam. 50% weightage is given to both the scores.

So as your boards percentage as well as your entrance exam's score both matter equally. As most of you have already got your both results a good score in it will put you at a great advantage.

There are 120 seats (both BA and BCOM) in the Chandigarh campus, 60 each in regional centres. So for the Chandigarh campus if your rank in the BA LLB merit list after combination of both scores is uner 150-180 you'll have a fair chance in the first counselling itself.

Though the cut off chances each year according to the difficulty level of the paper and the level of Competition, only a fair estimate can be made regarding the marks.

So if your score in boards was 90 and you've scored 35 in entrance your combined marks will be around 62.5. You seem to have less chances in Chandigarh campus and more in regional centres.

But more accurate estimate can be made after the rank in combined merit list is out.

Best of luck

50% weightage is given to boards marks and entrance result as I've explained in the answer.
So your combined merit will be calculated after adding 50% of both the scores. Hence, 62.5

The total score is 100. Out of which your merit is calculated as 62.5

Your combined merit will be 68.9
Now it also depends a lot on the highest score.
But as per past year trends you don't have sure shot chances but a little less.
In BA LLB in Chandigarh chances seem 50-50. Can't be too sure. A better estimate can be made once your final combined ranks are out.
But in case you've applied for BCOM LLB in chd too. You get weightage for studying commerce subjects in 12th. So if you're eligible for that chances are more here.
