Dear Aspirant, hope you are doing well. Sorry to say but at this percentile and category rank it is somewhat difficult to get mechanical at NIT Trichy. You might get metallurgy, production engineering and civil branch with this rank. Nevertheless please wait for cutoffs to be out as it changes every year. Hope it helps!! Good luck!!

You are comparing with previous year. But this year there are many changes. Percentile system has been introduced. Number of seats in NIT and IITs has been increased. I'm asking is there any possibility of getting mech in NIT Trichy

See number of seats has been increased but the cutoffs would depend on the diffculty level of the examination so how can I predict that. We have only past data here and now new system has been introduced which does not have any basis.

This year there are 8 shifts and we cannot predict the difficulty level as there is a drastic change within shift to shift. Iam asking can I expect mech in NIT Trichy in round 6 or at least 7
