Yes you can apply and appear for IMU CET. But before getting admission in any college affiliated to IMU you need to clear Medical from a D.G. Shipping approved doctor.

And for getting admission in Deck Department your eyesight should be 6/6 without glasses without that you can't get into any Deck courses.

For Engineering Department the criteria for the eyesight is 6/18 or +or - 2.5  without glasses is bearable anything beyond that is not considered in Merchant Navy.
