I have taken a drop. Will it affect my admission in medical colleges?
hi , tulika, it wont affect your chances, infact you can improve your chances if you work smart and stay motivated, i can tell you how you should go about it,
Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too
Biology- in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, thats how it was when i gave my exam, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can, always stay calm , cool and confident, hope this helps good luck
Tulika,
Taking a drop will not affect your sitting for NEET or admission to medical colleges provided you satisfy the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the official website with regards to scoring 50% in PCB in case of General Category and 40% in case of reserved category. Also, you need to remember that beginning from 2017, you would be allowed to atempt the NEET exam only three times.
All the best! Hope it helps.
No it will have no effect, as long as you crack the exam and get a free seat. Number of attempts doesn't have a negative impact on getting a medical seat. There are many students who take two or three attempts to get into a medical college.
Goodluck.
