I like animals so much and want to be famlier with them.Is three any career option in this ? I have have got 86% in 12th this yr.

If you’re an animal lover, here are some career options which will allow you to spend your work life being surrounded by animals.

  • Veterinary Doctor- Veterinary doctors are medical professionals who diagnose and treat the injuries and illnesses of a wide variety of animals. You can pursue Bachelor’s in Veterinary Science (5 years). The admission to this course happen through NEET scores. You can work at established clinics under senior doctors, set up your own private practice, get into research, education, work with diagnostic laboratories and NGOs who employ veterinarians for consultation.
  • Wildlife Photographer- Wildlife photographers select their niche as animals and plants, and spend hours around them in jungles, observing animal movements and patiently waiting for the perfect click. As photography is a skill based learning, you can either take up diploma, short-term courses, online courses, workshops, seminars in the field of photography. For a degree per say, you can take up Bachelors in Fine Arts specializing in Photography. The majority of Wildlife Photographers work as freelancers, however, some big companies do hire them on a full-time basis. They work with big publication houses, news channels, animal TV channels, books, journals and so on.
  • Pet Groomer- Pet Groomers care for animals by maintaining their appearance and working on their hygiene. There is no need to attain any specific degree, but you have to pursue certificate or diploma courses that will teach you specific skills needed on the job, such as grooming, styling, styling, handling pets, etc. They work closely with veterinary doctors.
  • Oceanographer- Oceanography is the study two aspects. Firstly, they study physical and biological properties of the ocean. Secondly, they study about aquatic plants and animals living in the ocean. During your graduation, you can pursue related fields like Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Fishery Science, Earth Science, Microbiology, etc. In your post graduation, you can select Oceanography as your specialization. You can work as Marine Biologist, Marine Geologist, Marine Chemistry, Biological Oceanographer, Atmospheric Science, Climate Researcher and so on.
  • Wildlife Conversation- Wildlife Conservationists protect wildlife and forest. They maintain and regenerate forest wealth and resources and try to ensure that wildlife is preserved. You can pursue Bachelors in Forestry or a Bachelors in Wildlife Conservation after 12th class. Their job roles include analysis of the data used in formulating conservation laws and campaigns. Professionals analyze water, air, plant, soil samples, assess how pollutants, invasive species, noise, etc. that affect wildlife.
  • Aquarists- Aquarists are trained professionals whose job is to take care of the animal life living in aquariums. They make sure that the fishes and other aquatic animals are fed on time, and they are getting everything required to maintain their life. The mandatory qualification is graduation in Veterinary Science, Biology, Zoology, Botany, or any other related fields. All the aquarium companies hire aquarists to maintain the quality of their tanks. As a Aquarists, you are hired at zoos, theme parks, animal research laboratories, etc.
  • Animal Scientist- Animal Scientists conduct research on various fields related to animals, such as their genetics, nutrition, growth, breeding and reproduction. During your graduation, it is mandatory to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science. As an Animal Scientist, you can find employment in both private and government sectors. You can work with food production companies, pharmaceutical companies, and so on.
  • Animal Trainer- Animal Trainers are professionals who train animals for various security agencies or events. There is no set education path, but it is recommended that you complete your graduation Animal Science, Marine Science, Zoology etc. Law Enforcement Agencies of India, Special Police Officers (SPOs), Border Security Force (BSF), other security agencies, bomb squads, and various law enforcement agencies employ animal trainers.
