I need know what exactly IIT JAM Exam is all about ?

JAM is a national level entrance exam for admission to M.Sc, Joint M.Sc PhD, M.Sc PhD Dual Degree, and similar programs.
Every year Joint Admission Test for M.Sc ( JAM ) is being organized by different IIT institute. Since the IITs organize JAM exam , hence it is also referred to as IIT JAM .
IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria mandates candidates to hold a Bachelor's Degree. Candidates belonging to General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category must have at least 55% aggregate in Bachelor's. The marks secured include all the subjects studied at the graduation level, without rounding off the marks.
There are seven objective-type test papers inIIT JAM, named as Chemistry (CY), Physics (PH), Mathematics (MA), Geology (GG), Biological Sciences (BL), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Biotechnology (BT).
