I took my 12th cbse board exams in 2024 (English, Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Comp Sci, and Physical Education). I passed overall but got RT in Maths. I took improvement exams for all subjects. I passed Maths and all other subjects in the improvement exams, but failed Physics. Which marks will be considered for my final marksheet? Will my improved Maths score count? Will my original Physics pass be considered since I failed the improvement exam? Will my other improved subject scores be used?
Hello Student,
In your final marksheet, CBSE will consider the best marks for each subject from both your main board exams and improvement exams. Here’s how it works in your case:
-
Maths:
Since you had RT (Repeat Theory) in Maths and passed it in the improvement exam, your improved score will be counted.
-
Physics:
Since you passed Physics in your main board exam but failed in the improvement exam, CBSE will consider your original
pass marks
from the main exam.
- Other Subjects: For the rest of the subjects, CBSE will take the higher marks between your main exam and improvement exam scores.
So, your final marksheet will have:
- Improved Maths marks.
- Original Physics marks (since you passed earlier).
- The best scores from both attempts for other subjects.
You won’t be considered failed, and your final result will reflect the highest marks possible from both attempts.
