AIEEE is called All India Engineering Entrance Exam. After completing your 10 + 2, you can appear for this test. But let me tell you that in April 2013 AIEEE replaced in JEE Main & JEE Advanced, now this exam was being conducted by CBSE. From 2018 onwards it is being conducted by NTA. If you are seeking admission in Architecture and Engineering programme, you can apply now JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
From now on AIEEE will be called JEE Mains.
The eligibility for JEE Main 2019 is as follows -
1) Year of passing the qualifying exam - You must have passed 10 + 2 in either 2019, 2018 or 2017 to be able to sit for JEE Main 2019.
2) Subjects in the qualifying exam - You must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their subjects in their 11th and 12th class.
3) Minimum marks - For admissions to NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs, candidates should have secured at least 75% marks in 12th boards exam.
Now, from 2019 NTA will be conducting JEE. So, they have made a few changes but no alterations have yet been done in the paper pattern.
From 2019 JEE will be conducted twice per year instead of once.
JEE Main 2019 will be a computer-based test has been held from January 6 to 20 and again will be held from April 7 to 21.
Registrations for JEE Main 2019 for the January exam will be available from September 1 to 30, 2018.
You will be allowed to appear in one or both the exams. The better of the two scores will be considered for admissions.
JEE Main exam details are as follows -
1) JEE Main 2019 will be held in English, Hindi and Gujarati languages only.
2) The duration of exam will be 3 hours.
3) The exam would contain 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
4) There will be total 90 objective type questions in Paper-1 with 30 questions from each section. Total marks will be 360.
5) Every correct answer gives you 4 marks while one 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Now, JEE Advance is the second phase of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). JEE Advance is a national level entrance exam which gives the students an opportunity to get a seat in the top engineering colleges for engineering or architecture program such as IITs, NITs, CFTIs, etc.
Top candidates of JEE Main will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced.
JEE Advance will have 2 papers with a duration of 3 hours each.
Both papers will have 3 sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
