To become a web developer, you will have to go through the basic  understanding of various technologies that are there. The first step may be going into the HTML but it is not only about designing the web page, you need to also have some design thinking to look out how the layout should look like. To create a page it has to be hosted and the amount of coding has to come into the backend. Java middleware has to be known so the framework has to be understood and you need to understand the framework but at the end of the day there are so many people coming on to the website, so much of data coming in so you will need to understand some basic database like an oracle or whichever database that goes well with this.

So you should go into a typical learning centre and take a 6 months programme on web design and development so the fundamental is that you need to know about the front end, middle ware and the back end.

For being a web developer you first need to know about web artitecture then you should know basic like what is frontend and what is backend and how they work together . Then you need to learn frontend language like HTML, CSS, Javascript then you need to learn about frontend frameworks and libraries like angular js , jQuery and then backend language like PHP , Java , Python etc and how you can attach backend codes with frontend codes. Frontend shows how page appears in front of client while backend makes the website dynamic. You also need to learn about backend frameworks like django,rails etc.

There are several platform like W3school and geeksforgeeks where you can learn them in details for free and many paid courses also available on platform like udemy, edx, cousera, Internshala etc.

For full stack web development you can try Colt Steele web development bootcamp available at udemy as it is designed very well but you must understand English in American accent .
