Hello Sai,
If you are intending to pursue an MBA in finance, you are supposed to know the basics of accounting, financial management, and financial investment market. That is what will be taught in the first year and students of commerce background have an edge here because they are well aware of the basics. The detailed study will be carried forward when you are promoted to 2nd year. During that time, you will be having subjects like security analysis, portfolio management, commercial banking, corporate restructuring, valuation, investment banking, etc.
If you have crossed professional exams like CFA, then you need not to worry. If you have time in your hands you can think about clearing level 1 at least before joining an MBA institute.
If not, you need to have an interest in the subject. That would be more than enough.
All the best!
