Greetings,
Shwetakshi , yes your 12th scores are actually higher than what is demanded in eligibility criteria . There is a different list every year one for CBSE 12th percentige cut off and the second one is according to all the state board . Even if you have a degree from state board than also if we look at the past year's cut off percentage of every state , it is good and at the most a sureity can be attained that you will clear up this eligibilty criteria. The cut off set for CBSE students are always less then your marks attained . Last year it was 88% ,this time it can be predicted that it will be around 90-92% .
With this there are 2 more way by which you can get into IISER Mohali .
JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (JEE-ADVANCED) of INDIAN INSTITUTES OF TECHNOLOGY
KISHORE VAIGYANIK PROTSHAN YOJANA CHANNEL
The applicants who are applying through should pass State and Central Board Channel should go through IAT entrance examination and accordingly should clesr the cut off .
So if you have not given JEE or are not selected through KISHORE VAIGYANIK PROTSHAN YOJANA CHANNEL ( selection is based on cut off criteria ) you need to give IAT entrance test.
I hope this article might have helped you if you have any more further queries do drop a comment or post another question and I wil surely help you out .
Hey Shwetakshi,
The cut off marks ( out of 500 ) for 10+2 examination for central board are -
Gen./EWS - 431
OBC - 420
SC - 401
ST - 385
PWD - 385.
As you have secured 94% in your 10+2 exam and if you calculate the marks then you must be having 470 marks out of 500. So you can fill the form for IISER doesn't matter which category you belong to. You are havibg enough marks to qualify for IISER.
Good luck.
