Helo dear,
If you want a job in these top companies first you need to do a lot of hard work. Beside this , you need to be self confident that you can crack this. And another important thing u need is patience. To be a part of this company, you can go for coding. Be a programmer, crack the coding interview of google or Microsoft whenever they have pool placement. You can also apply directly. Practice programming a lot. Focus on the major concepts. Just be practical and practice. Focus on your communication skills also. Because you have to cross a group discussion round also to get into it.

Greetings.
Both the companies, i.e. Microsoft and google are computer and software based companies. So, most of the vacancies and hiring will be from the computer and software based courses like cs engineering etc. So, CSE branch will be a good choice if you want to get a job in these companies.

If You want to Join as A software developer then You need only one thing that is You should know How to code. This is the only thing which they need, But as If you want to get the first opportunity and want to Join them quickly then You should go for Computer Science and Engineering. If you Join IIT with CSE there are quite good chances that You can achieve Your dream because both of this companies visit IITs for campus Recruitment so You will be given opportunity from the campus itself to join this tech giant. Also Microsoft hire a good number of students so if You prepare well you could be one among them.
