Andhra Pradesh has 1 ICAR recognised state agriculture univerity i.e. Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University, Guntur, AP , established in 1964, is one of the reputed agriculture universities in India.
ANGRAU has total 10 Colleges (5 in Agriculture, 2 in Agricultural Engineering, 2 in Food Science and 1 in Home Science) and 8 Agricultural Polytechnics. All the colleges are government / university constituent colleges and there are no private colleges under ANGRAU. Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, Guntur offers admission to the polytechnic, undergraduate ( B.Sc. , B.Tech), postgraduate (M.Sc., M.Tech , MBA) and doctoral ( PhD ) courses in the field of Agriculture. ANGRAU admission to the undergraduate courses will be done on the basis of the marks scored in an EAMCET examination while for postgraduate courses, applicants have to qualify the entrance examination conducted by the university.
ANGRAU Guntur admission process for Undergraduate Courses:
- Candidates have to appear in the Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test ( EAMCET ).
- The shortlisted candidates have to register for the EAMCET counselling conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and choose ANGRAU Guntur as their preference.
- Final admission will be offered to the candidates on the basis of the merit in EAMCET counselling, seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.
