Dear student,
AIEEE ( ALL INDIA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM ), is another name of jee mains.
Before 2013, the jee mains exam was called AIEEE, and was held by cbse board.
In 2013, the name was changed to JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM MAINS ( JEE MAINS ). By the jee mains you can take admission in the India's prestigious nits, iiits or gftis and other state engineering colleges ( which accepts jee mains score ).
Now, at present jee mains his conducted by NTA, and this year it will be total of 300 marks.
Also it will have a percentile system, which came in picture since 2019, when the NTA takeover the cbse.
Now this year ( due to covid 19 ), there are some changes in the pattern of exam :-
As per latest JEE Main 2021 exam pattern, the paper 1 will have a total of 90 questions, 25 each from from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. And you have to attempt only 75 questions.
Each subject will have 20 MCQs ( for correct response you will be rewarded + 4 marks and for each incorrect response you will get -1) and 10 numerical questions. 5 out of 10 numerical questions are optional. Means, you can solve any 5 questions out of 10.
Numerical questions will don't have negative marking.
JEE Main 2021 for paper 1 (B.Tech) will be conducted for 300 marks, while paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Plan) will be conducted separately for 400 marks each.
And this year, JEE Main 2021 will be held in 13 regional languges
After jee mains, jee advanced is held and you can give that exam only after clearing the cutoff of jee mains. Amd if your rank is good then you can take admission in nits or gftis or iiits, etc. And also note that for giving jee advanced or taking admision in nits ot iiits or gftis ot iits, your class 12th aggregate must be atleast 75%.
