Hello,
National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2020 along with the official notification. Interested candidates are advised to check the JEE Main 2020 Eligibility Criteria before applying for the entrance test. They need to fulfil the eligibility details, otherwise, the candidature will be rejected at any stage of the admission process.

He/She should have passed class 12 or qualifying exam in 2019 or 2020.
He/She appearing in class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam in 2020 can also apply for JEE Main.

Age Limit
There is no age limit. However, the He/She have to pass 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2019 or 2020.
He/She appearing for 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2020 are also eligible to apply.

Number of attempts
JEE Main candidates can participate in the entrance exam for 3 consecutive years. The exam will be conducted twice a year, they may appear in both the attempts. The attempt for an academic year will be considered as One.

Subject/subjects combination
It is necessary to have taken five subjects in class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam
The five subjects for B.Tech/ B.E are,
Language
Physics
Mathematics
Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject), 5-Any other subjects
The five subjects for B.Arch/ B.Planning are,
Language
Physics
Mathematics (compulsory)

About JEE Main 2020
JEE Main 2020 - To be held by the National Testing Agency (NTA), Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main is the national level undergraduate engineering entrance exam and the gateway for the admission to various B.Tech/B.E. programmes offered by 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 CFTIs. From 2019, JEE Main is being conducted by NTA twice a year (January and April) in computer-based mode only. Also, JEE Main is the qualifying test for JEE Advanced through which candidates can get admission to 23 IITs. JEE Main 2020 will be held for 2 papers where Paper-I is for B.Tech admissions and Paper-II for B.Arch admissions. Applications of JEE Main 2020 for January session will be tentatively available from September 1 in online mode. The admit card will be released in the last week of December. The exam will be held tentatively in the second week of January with results declared by the end of January.
Candidates can appear twice for JEE Main 2020 -January and April. The better of the two scores will be used for the purpose of ranking as per the regulations laid by the authorities. States like Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand and Nagaland as well many other private universities and institutes use JEE Main ranks for admissions; however, admission criteria for these will be notified by the concerned authorities only.

JEE Main 2020 application form for January session will be released in online mode by NTA tentatively from September 1. The application form for Paper 1 and 2 is the same. Candidates could fill the application form either for Paper 1 or Paper 2 or for both. To fill the application form of JEE Main 2020, the candidates had to follow the given below steps:
Step 1: Registration-Candidates have to register first by entering details like State of Eligibility, State where Class 12th School / NIOS Study Center is located, Identification ID Type, Identification ID (Aadhaar number, ration card number, passport number, bank account number etc), name of candidate, date of birth, gender and finally the security pin has to be entered.
Step 2: Fill JEE Main 2020 Application Form Candidates have to enter the following details
Examination Related Details: Paper appearing for (Paper 1 or 2 or both), choice of any 4 examination centres , preferred language for exam (English/ Hindi/ Gujarati). Next other details have to be entered as follows

Choose Password - It must have 8 to 13 characters with at least one Upper case, one lower case alphabet, one numeric value and one special character -!@#$%^&*
Step 3: Upload Scanned Images of Documents The thrid step is to upload the scanned images of the specified documents in the prescribed format and dimensions.
Step 4: Make Fee Payment-Candidates will have to pay the requisite fee of entrance exam either in online or offline mode.

JEE Main 2020 Eligibility Criteria
