Hello,

JEE mains examination is conducted for admission into B.tech and B.arch courses in various NITs,IIITs and GFTIs in India.JEE mains is also the gateway exam for JEE advance.
After clearing jee mains, you can get admission in top NITs and IIITs of india if you will get a good percentile.NITs and IIITs are also considered one of the best colleges in India for pursuing B.tech.
After qualifying mains, you will get chance to appear in JEE advance, and if you can score well in JEE advance then you can get admission in the prestigious IITs of India which are considered the best institute in the country and highly ranked internationally too.

I hope this helps.
