Hi

Yes, you need to qualify NEET examination to get admission in Aiims for mbbs . Till 2019 Aiims had its own entrance exam for mbbs but then it got scrapped off and since the year2020 ,admission in all medical colleges for mbbs including Aiims is through NEET examination.

Now,

In order to be able to appear in NEET you need to be eligible for it.To be eligible for neet 2021 one must be either appearing for 12th board examination 2021 or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology /biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category , or at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /stcategory.to be eligible for neet 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December 2021

For detailed information about neet examination go through our page for which link is provided below; -

And then after qualifying Neet ,

You can get admission in NEET admission in neet on the basis of rank in NEET provided you fulfill its eligibility criteria.

Though AIIMS MBBS entrance examination has been scrapped off and now admission is through Neet examination but percentage requirement in 12th to be eligible for admission in mbbs in Aiims is still the same as it was before scrapping of its entrance . The page number 11 of mcc counselling scheme pdf clearly mentions that Aiims has its own eligiblity criteria, the link to download it is provided below

https://mcc.nic.in/UGCounselling/Documents/UGSchemeFinal.pdf

To be eligible for mbbs in Aiims you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology and English and must have got:-

at least 60 % in aggregate of PCB and English in 12th examination if belongs to general /obc category

at least 50% in aggregate of PCB and English if belongs to st/ Sc

at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB and English in case of general pwd candidates to be eligible.

Also,

* to be eligible for Aiims 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old by 31st December 2021

You can check the same by downloading the official prospectus of AIIMS Delhi for which link is provided below

https://www.aiimsexams.org/pdf/MBBS-2020%20update%20%7BProspectus).pdf

If I tell you about marks or rank required, to get in aiims then, you should target at least around 675 marks in neet 2021.

For example,

In neet 2020, 2902 all india rank corresponding to 665 marks was cut off for general category in Aiims Nagpur. So, to be on the safer side you should target at least around 675-680 marks.

Thank you
