As you know very well that the tag of IIT is acceptable everywhere so if you are planning to do electrical engineering from IIT then it is good and don't bother about that your friend are going for Computer science and it is not considerable in the arena of computer science so I want to inform you that IIT offers you many job opportunity in any of the engineering branch but for that you will have to go with determination,

you will have to focus on your studies apart from this you need to have many skills so that company could hire you..

don't think that it will be worth enough in the arena of computer science because every person select their career option with their own desire so don't go with this myth.



Electrical engineering is little bit similar to electronic engineering but there are separate departmental course for each particular  branch.
