I would like to pursue b tech aerospace engineering after my 12 th class. if I take kvpy -2021 exam is there any benefit for me?
If you want to go for B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering you will have to give engineering entrance exams required by particular colleges.
Few of the engineering entrance exams are:
1. BITSAT
2. JEE Main
3. JEE Advanced
4. SRMJEEE
Also, State CETs
KVPY will be beneficial only to students who want to purse their career in basic science courses in IISC or IISER. You can give KVPY if you want to check your aptitude skills. But I would suggest you that if you want to go with Aerospace Engineering, focus on engineering entrance exams and score well in them.
Hope this helps
All the best
Hello Aspirant,
Sorry dear you won't get any benefit of KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna) if you take admission in B.Tech course because KVPY is only for those students who are seeking admission in basic science courses such as B.Sc., B. Stat, Integrated M.Sc., and M.S in either Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, or Biology.
So B.Tech students won't be benefited in any way from KVPY. But if you pursue any of the mentioned course and also clear KVPY then you will benefited from the following rewards :
- SA/SX/SB- during 1st to 3rd years of UG/PG courses: Rs. 5,000/Month + Rs. 20000/annum
- SA/SX/SB – during M. Sc. / 4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc. /M.S./M.Math./M.Stat.: Rs.7,000/month + + Rs. 28000/annum
