It is not possible to indicate the exact marks. But we can definitely specify the estimated marks you may have to score to have decent chances of getting seat in B.Tech Biotechnology. By analysing the previous year cut off trends you need to score minimum 80-90 marks out of 160 marks to secure a seat in a decent college. Cut off is different for each category, branch and the college.

During the early days of your preparation start with the subjects in which you are strong. Give 30% of your time for the subjects in which you are strong and remaining 70% of the time for the subjects in which you are weak. Make a daily, weekly and monthly time table. Revise what you have learnt on daily, weekly and monthly basis so that you will not forget what you have learnt. Practice the questions, solve the previous year question papers and at last start giving the mock tests. If you have doubts take the help of your teachers and friends. Have a good 8 hours sleep everyday and indulge in any physical activities such as exercise, cycling, sports and games and eat healthy.
