IAS examination is given after class 12?

well it is not possible to appear to IAS exam right after you have passed out your 12th.in order to become an IAS officer u should first attemot CSA exam conducted by the UPSC and u must also crackthe preliminiary tests and mains and the interview in order to achieve training .

You can appear for Civil Services after graduation of any kind, in any subject. However, students opt for courses which might help them while preparing for CS.
If you look at the pattern, science students have majority in clearing UPSC exams. This is mainly because they become habitual of studying with patience and undertaking huge syllabi pressure.
However, students taking up humanities (arts) subjects also succeed. Having history, political science, geography etc in school, and then doing graduation in any of these subjects helps a lot.

No , you can give IAS only after you have completed your graduation.
The minimum age to appear for IAS Exam is 21 years. This means that the candidatemust haveat least21 years of age on 1st August of that given year when the exam is held. For example, if the candidate is appearing for 2018 prelims, he/she should be above 21 years of age by Aug 1, 2018.
Also a candidate has to be graduate in order to write this examination.
