if a circular shaft is subjected to torsion what will be the max normal stresses

Hello,

The maximum stress induced in the shaft during torsion is equal to  16T/(Pi*d^3)

Where

T is the torsion applied

Pi= 3.14

d is the diameter of the shaft under torsion

By using the above formula you will find the maximum stress during torsion. During Torsion there is no normal stress induced

bro that is formula of max shear stress.... m talking labout normal stress (longitudinal stress)
