If a Jharkhand domicile candidate has opted for UR category in the NEET 2020 application(because his EWS certificate is not ready yet but applied for and is expected within 2 or 3 weeks), what will be the consequence/procedure when he opts EWS category later applying for the 85% State quota seats?

Well I would like to tell you that the student will have to mention the correct category when registering for EWS category in state quota counseling. Just mention it there and then move ahead. If possible then participate in counseling in your orginal category and not in different categories in different places.

Question: Do you mean that the candidate should only chose UR (Un Reserved) when applying for admission to Jharkhand domicile seat (through jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in), if his category in the NEET application (through https://ntaneet.nic.in) is UR.
Also, could you kindly elaborate, why the jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in asks for the category; if compulsorily it has to be same as the category mentioned in the main NEET application . This is odd, because, for all the other information about the candidate, the jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in relies on the https://ntaneet.nic.in then what is the reason for them to ask the category again for the candidate ?

Well, in the state quota counseling NEET marks are used but the registration and all other processes have to happen again cause they collect all those information from us again. So if your certificate is ready then you can apply for state quota counseling with EWS category but only if your documents are ready to support your category.
