See you must have done 10+2 from any recognized Central or State Board or its equivalent. With a score of at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 60 marks or above in each individual subjects. English must be a compulsory subject. So, you are eligible for the BITSAT exam after pursuing 10+2 board exams from National Institute of Open Schooling as it is central government approved institute for conducting board exams. NIOS certificate is legally valid and NIOS board is equivalent to any other educational board in India. No institution should reject a candidate who has met all other admission criteria based on his NIOS certificate along.

Hello aspirant ! Let me to inform you that according to the education government rules nios board is a recognized board for education. Therefore the nios board candidates are eligible to write the bitsat exam or any other engineering entrance examinations around the country. The students must have more than 75% marks in physics chemistry and mathematics and 60% marks in other individual subjects, English being a compulsory one.
