First, let me clear you the meaning of this SLIDE and FLOAT option in josaa counseling :-

SLIDE - It means, that you have accepted the seat and you want a higher preference branch in the same institute in further rounds, and if you get you will accept it. And if you don't get higher upgraded branch, then your previously alloted seat will remain with you.

FLOAT - It means, that you have accepted the seat and you want a higher preference branch in the other institute in further rounds, and if you get you will accept it. And if you don't get higher upgraded branch, then your previously alloted seat will remain with you.

You can use any of these options for one time and that option will be valid for further rounds ( till round 5)

So, if you will use slide option in round 1 seat allotment, then it will be remained in slide for further rounds and you cannot change it to float.
So, if you want to change the option to float in next rounds after taking slide in first round, then it is not possible.
