Dear Aman,
It is completely fine to get work experience and then go for admission in IIMs. To get admission in IIM, you will have to score well in the CAT exam. Also, you will have to manage your time well with job to prepare for the CAT exam. You will be treated as a fresher only. But, for some opportunities, your work experience may help you.
Since the question was asked months ago, I hope you might have got admission or doing well with your job.
