With your percentile, your rank would be around 60k. That is a great rank. But unfortunately, you percentage in your class 12 boards is low. With this score, you won't be getting admissions into NIT, IIITs and GFTIs. You are also not eligible to appear for JEE advanced.
The basic eligibility criteria is Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in class 12 or equivalent exam or they must be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12 examination. For SC/ ST, the eligibility is to obtain a minimum of 65% marks in class 12 or equivalent.
You can go for other state government engineering colleges where you can get top branches for that rank.
Also, if you want you can go for a drop year and appear for improvement exam to increase your 12 boards score. Also you have to reappear for JEE mains again. But you have to appear for all the 12 th boards subjects in your improvement exam.
Please note that dropping a year is not appreciated. It totally depends on the student and his situation.
So please think hard and consult your parents and your teachers before making a decision. You can continue by taking a admission in any college according to your rank and score or you can drop a year if you really think you can cope up the constant preparation for another year.
Hope it helps
