Respected sir,

As we grow, our parents keep telling us the importance of marks that we score in school. Initially, we are told that class 10 marks are the most important since they decide what stream we might get in the next standard. Once we pass that hurdle, we are continuously pressurized on performing our best in class 11 and 12; since these are meant to decide the college we are going to get admitted in. After clearing 12th, with flying colors we still have to pull up our socks and work hard to clear the entrance exams. Once these exams are passed and the results are out, that’s when the struggle ends; at least for a short period of time.

Our parents push us to make us give our 100%. Actually, the only marks that matter the most are those scored in class 12. Because these decide the college we are going to get; which in turn forms the roots of our career. The college that we are going to get in limits the companies that we might get placed in. For instance, if you manage to get into the IIMs, better companies are going to visit your campus in comparison with a private institution. Even the entrance exams consider board percentage. The most talked about entrance examination, JEE seems like a nightmare to the aspirants. If you too are an aspirant of JEE, following is all you need to know about-

The exam is conducted in two modes which are online (computer based mode) and offline (pen and paper based mode). Before filling the application form candidates must satisfy themselves with the eligibility criteria that they are eligible for the paper which they are applying for.

Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October, 1992 (for general and OBC candidate) are eligible to apply.

Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2017 must have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in order to apply. However For admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs & CFTIs candidates must have secured at least 75% in their class 12th board exams (65% for SC/ST students). No board marks will be taken into account for calculating JEE Main score from the year 2017 onwards.

Candidates who have passed 12th class or equivalent exam in 2015 or 2016 (not before 2015) are eligible to apply for this exam.
