If your son have completed the course of EEE and after that have qualified the GATE then he can go for the MTech course in EEE with the specializations as specified below:

Automation Training
Humanoid and Robotics
C-DAC
POWER CELLS AND SOLAR PANELS

This can be some good fields for your sons career.
