To be clear about this so maintaining your CGPA during BTECH doesn't guarantee your placement it just makes you eligible for a particular company and improves the status of your resume. But yes as you have stated that CSE in top NIT then having good CGPA there will be an advantage. Most of the time the employer will give you job on the basis of your skill and presentation so you should also work on these two area. If you are good at your skills then no one can stop you from getting placements. Students from lower category colleges are also getting above 30 lakhs packages due to their skill and presentation.
