Hello,
NEET UG is conducted for 720 marks. There are 4 sections namely Chemistry, Physics, Zoology and Botany. There will be 2 sections in each section that is section A and section B. Each section is for 180 marks. Each question carries 4 marks in section A and in section B each question carries 2.66 marks . There is 1 mark negative if the answer is incorrect. Suppose that you have attempted one wrong answer in Section A you will get 715 as 4 Marks will not be awarded as the answer is incorrect and there is 1 negative marking for each incorrect answer. So 720-4-1= 715.
Hello Aspirant,
See in all you have to do maximum of 180 questions with 4 marks for every correct answer and -1 for every wrong answer so if you attempt 179 questions correctly and 1 question with incorrect attempt then your total score would be
(179*4) - 1 = 716-1 = 715 marks out of 720 marks
