Hii,

An MSW is a degree course typically takes 1-2 years to complete.

Those who receive this advanced social work degree may work in the medical, mental health, and education fields, providing support as therapists, healthcare social workers, school social workers, and clinical social workers.

Once candidates obtain their MSW degree from IGNOU The Indira Gandhi National Open University, they can avail job opportunities in both public as well as private sectors.

Opportunities in government sector are mainly in community development projects related to education, health, rural development, child welfare, women rights, etc

Admission to the MSW program is on the basis of candidates performance in the entrance examination which at times is followed by a personal interview.

Some of the topics included in the entrance test are general awareness, analytical ability, language comprehension and awareness of socio-political issues.

Hope this will help you,

All the very best!!
