IIT Madras Bsc degree is UGC approved or not? Can I apply for graduation level government jobs on the basis of this degree??
Hi
The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, is one of the top technical and research universities in India. The course is UGC approved. You can apply for jobs with the certified degree. There won't be any trouble.
Dear Student,
It will be treated similarly to other BSc degrees from other universities. The UGC requirements are followed by this degree.
A graduate has many alternatives available to them. Just put some work into it. Let's take them in turn:
- You can always apply for commission positions like the state PSC and IAS. You will end up with a superb job, despite the fact that it will take a lot longer time and require incredible attention and hard work.
- However, the truth is that there is fierce competition for every PSC position. Therefore, you should choose SSC-CGL (staff selection commission). If you start preparing from your BSc, you can join within 8 to 10 months after the completion of the course, and the employment offered under this are fairly good as well; it only requires a few months of preparation.
- The BANK-PO (probationary officers) and clerk grades make up the third choice. You must register for the IBPS exam, and you must do well on it. The next step is to submit an application to each bank. IBPS does not accept applications for SBI. It arranges a unique examination of its own.
- If you have even the slightest interest in teaching, you can pursue either a B.Ed or a BTC and land a job as an assistant teacher at a government school for grades K through 12.
- In addition to these choices, the railroads and the forest agencies occasionally have openings for qualified candidates.

Hope this helps.
