I'm Graduated in B.Tech Mechatronics engineering, which PG program am I eligible? Can I apply for M.Tech Mechanical Engineering
see there is many streams available after clearing gate and you need to apply for post graduate courses. since there is no separate paper for mechatronics , candidates need to apply from mechanical or any other branch in which they are confident to give a shot. now there is several streams available for mtech in mechanical engineering like
design engineering
thermal power engineering
machine design
aeronautical engineering
industrial automation and robotics
production and manufacturing engineering
automotive engineering.

You don't need to worry about branch option in PG. You can do PG in any course but for that you have to prove you are capable of doing pg in that course.
For example if u are interested in coding/cse then you can give GATE CSE. Get a good rank in GATE CSE and you are applicable for M.TECH CSE from IITs/IISc/NITs/IIITs. So, Anyone can give exam in whichever stream he is interested in GATE. There have been many people who have done this and excelled. In fact, there was a person from Mechanical engineering who next appeared in GATE CS and secured AIR 1 in GATE 2015.
