Hello Aspirant,

See if you want to pursue Mechanical engineering from top NITs like NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Uttarakhand, NIT Jaipur then with general category you should try to maintain your rank under 15,000 as per previous year's cut-offs which you can check from the link given below :-
