Now I will definitely help you Riya so if ur interested to study your B  tech in NIT or IIT u should go for the JEE mains if ur interested to study ur B tech in IIT then first u should clear the JEE mains and then complusorly u should clear the JEE advance then only u can get seat in IIT but the one thing is work hard from now and get maximum marks and get seat in good IIT colleges like IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur
All the best

The candidate must have taken core subjects in 11th and 12th as Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English.

If you want to do engineering from IIT then you have to apply for JEE MAINS and you have get qualified for the exam. If you get qualified you will be eligible to give JEE Advance. (the cut offs change every year).

If you want to do engineering in NIT, IIIT then you must have good score in JEE MAINS. JEE MAINS is of 360 marks so must score above 200 to get into NIT, IIIT. Also the cutoffs are different for different branches (Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical) so it also depends upon which branch you want to opt.

If you want to do engineering in your State government college then you have to give exam of the respective entrance exam for respective state.

If you still have any queries feel free to ask in the comment section down below.

It depends upon many factors like:-Which college is nearer? Because you always have to save you time. Now if hostel facility is available then there's no need to worry. The private college usually have low cut off with high fees whereas government colleges have high cut off with low fees.So if you score well in the exam you can apply for Government college.
