Hello,
To study in most govt. engineering colleges, you need to pass the engineering entrance exam which requires good knowledge of mathematics at 10+2 std. If you can clear the exam then you are eligible for admission.
Again, you need to study Mathematics even if you opt for Biotechnology in the 1st and 2nd year. But, it is not so much difficult as you already studied physics in 10+2 std. Mathematics is not a big problem if you attend all the mathematics classes sincerely (very few who does that) and professors mostly ask same questions in each year. However, I will suggest you to focus more in extra-curricular activities to develop your personality and soft skills in college. It will help you to excel in your life.
Anyone with 1 night study can easily score a 7 pointer. A little bit extra effort results in 8 or 9 pointer.
