If both the candidate have the same marks and have the same age then the third criteria for the judgment will be on behalf of the individual score in jee first preference given to maths then physics and then comes chemistry at the end for neet first preference goes to physics then biology and then chemistry.

You not define which entrance exam you want to calculate rank, so I  assume as JEE Mains exam. The rank is decided in following step are followed.

1. Candidate having more positive marks is given better rank.

2. If above criteria is also same for both, then candidate having more marks in maths is given better rank. If marks of math also same then marks of physics are seen.

As per my knowledge there is no criteria of age.

see to make a rank based on the academic score there is various indicators to be maintain, now it totally depends on which course you are applying or the norm of the particular exam conducting body. generally for engineering courses admission , rank is made through the overall course, if the overall marks is same, then mathematics marks is considered, if mathematics marks is same then physics marks is considered for tie breaking rule. so it depends on the nature of admission process, number of applicants, candidates category etc.
