COMEDK uget is a state level exams fro admission in private colleges if Karnataka.Unlile KCET, students from all over India can apply for this exam but that doesn't mean that other state candidates get advantage in this exam.This is a false rumor, although there is no reservations in this exams like KCET, there are some colleges that offer seats through COMEDK that give more advantage to local candidates of their states.But in short their no preference for anyone and admission totally depends on marks/ranks of individual candidates.

Yes, Comedk rank is totally dependent on how you perform in your Entrance. It has nothing to do with any preferences. There is also no Reservation on the basis of Castes. But add to it it gives  preference to students from other states also.
