Hello dear aspirant

As you are worried about the selection ,so here we are giving you some suggestions so that you can choose your branch

First of all  it all depends on your interest in which field you are interested ,if I talk about future prospectives of both branches then

For civil branch :

Job ratio is high only in government field ,you can find a no of jobs in government field as there are alot of projects are happening  like construction of roads , bridges flyovers these are government projects so you can expect your future in government field as there are less private companies which recruit civil branch students

For mechanical branch

In my view mechanical branch is much better in terms of job prospective since there are alot of companies which recruit mechanical branch candidates like TATA , Mahindra etc

And you can also have chances of getting government jobs because there are alot of government companies for mechanical candidate like NTPC,BHEL ,GALE NAVY ,ARMY  numerous field

So in mechanical field you will have both jobs government as well as private so you should choose wisely

Hope it helps

greetings srijaubbapally,

If you wish to pursue a government examinations like UPSC in furture then Civil is surely a preferred branch, for mechanical i would say that if you are more interested towards subjects like mechanics or physics like that you studied in 12th with a little higher level and enjoy drawing its your safe place to be. However statiscally most girls go in for civil branch as it more oppurtunities and linked with direct government examinations, plus it requires a little less hard/field work than mechanical, but its again upto your choice if you are comfortable like that. Also note that most subjects you study in both the branches are almost same except a few once like Materials and foundations etc. All the best!

hello aspirant,

if you search in any government or private colleges you may find that there are less number of girls candidates in civil and mechanical branch compare to electrical, electronics, information technology or computer science. however people has mith that ciil and mechanical has all field work job. but that is not true. now a days things are modernize and engineers need to do more of computer base work as desiging. civil has lots of desiging works if you dont want to work in field work. same things goes for mechanical also.

Hello Srija,

Mechanical is a better option for girls. As civil contains a lot of physical work and most boys opt for it. But it comes down to your choice as both courses are two different poles. Choose wisely. Both have a bright future.

All the best.
