Dear student,
As you have secured 158391 rank in JEE mains from open category and 24237 ews rank in JEE mains then sorry you cannot get any seat in any NIT.

Because nowadays the competitions are very tough and you have to at least score under 30000 rank from general open category to get a seat in NIT and at least under 8000 ews rank to get a seat in NIT.

But if you belong from home state of some nits then by applying home state quota (from your general category rank ) you can get some low nits, then you can get nit sikkim, nit mizoram, nit Meghalaya, nit Srinagar, nit arunachal pradesh, etc.
Otherwise there is no chance that you can get seat in any nits, or any iiits or any gftis.

But with this much rank you can get some of the NIT during CSAB counselling if the seat remains vacant this year. But there is not sure it is that the seat will remain vacant after josaa all rounds counselling.

Or it will be better that you are out for some other is state colleges or some other private Institutions like Kalinga Institute of Industrial technology or CV Raman Global University because in these two colleges many low rankers can easily get admission.

Hello Aspirant,

The NITs offer a good teaching staff and great placements with great campus ambience. As you can see that due to such high standards, the NITs offer admission to only those students that have a good rank

The top NITs have a closing rank of maximum 20000( general category- also for non core branch, for core branch it is even less) and the new NITs have a maximum closing rank of close to 50000.

Even getting into North East NITs is extremely unlikely through EWS category as the total number of EWS seats is only close to 7000(including all NITS).Your ews rank is far from 7000. So you can imagine the competition and the toughness of getting into an NIT.

I would rather suggest you to look for good state government colleges. In order to have a good analysis, you may click on this link:-
