In jee main counselling - josaa / csab, seats are alloted on the basis of your category rank if you belong to ews/obc/sc/st and your general/crl rank if you are from general category.

In some counsellings like JAC Delhi, your crl/general rank is considered for the counselling. Important thing to note down is that even though crl is considered, reservation is there for reserved categories i. e ews/obc/sc/st.
