in other countries such as UK,US and Finland is it possible to receive a degree in college in a subject you didn't study in high school. If so could I take up zoology in said countries.
hi,
see in india, in order to study bachelor of zoology course you have to study physics, chemistry and biology / biotechnology in 12th course with securing atleast of 50% marks in pcb. I have given a example of university of derby which rank 94 in uk college ranking. university of derby offers b.sc in zoology course , the requirement to apply for this course is as follows:
UCAS points 120
Specific requirements at A-level - At least a grade C in Biology at A-level
Specific requirements at GCSE - At least five GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at grade 4/C or above
IELTS 6.0 (with at least 5.5 in each skills area)
so if you check for tier one colleges of abroad it needs to have a subject related to bachelors in high school or you must complete a diploma course in the said subject to become eligible for admission.
